Wetland Wonders

I spent a beautiful afternoon at a local wetland. It was alive with birds and insects. I spent some time looking at the birds, which included: pelicans, gulls, herons, coots, ducks, grebes, avocets, and so many more! I was amazed by the diversity of birds out today.
I also spent some time giving appreciation to the little guys. I was mesmerized by these two silvery blue butterflies and watched them for a while, hoping to catch a glimpse of the top of their wings (not so lucky).
I plan to return within the week to work on my grass, sedge, and rush identification.
