ABOUT
Kayla Groening
Growing up in rural Manitoba, I spent much of my childhood exploring the outdoors, reading, painting, drawing and daydreaming.

Following my love of nature, I pursued a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies at the University of Winnipeg. Upon graduating, I moved to Alberta to work in the environmental sector.
A generalist at heart, there is not a lot that doesn't pique my interest. I works primarily in ink, fibre and words. I enjoy the storytelling aspect of illustration and the tactile nature of spinning, weaving and sewing. I am a voracious reader of non-fiction and literature.

I am a member of the Canadian Guild of Weavers and the Embroiderers' Association of Canada.

I currently reside in High River, Alberta.
